Each year, dental anxiety prevents thousands of people from having dental care, and we believe that fear of the dentist should not have to hold you back from having treatment. For this reason, we offer laughing gas (Nitrous Oxide) to our patients to help them relax during dental treatment.
No! One of the great things about Nitrous Oxide and why it’s so useful is that you will remain 100% fully awake and alert for the entire procedure. Unlike general anesthesia in the hospital where you are asleep and breathing with the help of a machine, with Nitrous you are always breathing on your own. With Nitrous you will be responsive, and you will be able to talk and have a conversation and answer questions – you will just be very relaxed about it!
No. Another feature of Nitrous Oxide is that it starts to work rapidly as you breathe it in, and it wears off very quickly as you start breathing in air without Nitrous. What this means is that when the procedure is done, you will be back to your pre-nitrous state, and you will be able to drive on your own and go back to work without any lingering effects of the gas. Contrast this approach to oral sedation or IV sedation, where you would need someone to drive you because the effects of these medications last longer than the procedure and take longer to wear off.Get in Touch!
I went in and was immediately put at ease. They were willing to stay late to make sure my exam was through and a tentative plan was put into place. When I returned the following day to see the hygienist, a definitive plan was put into place and the doctor and staff made sure I understood each step and what was needed.
I don't really like to go to the Dentist but the staff and the Dr are awesome!! Very kind, happy and professional!! The Dr is very gentle and communicative; as he tells you what he is going to do in detail and is a warm, caring person.
Folks, if you're looking for a new dental practice...look NO further! My 1st phone call to schedule a consultation was met with a kind and caring person who seemed genuinely concerned with the problems and pain I was experiencing. Though her schedule was full, she managed to fit me in to see the dentist.
