A dental crown, or cap, is a restoration that is used to cover a tooth when there is too much tooth structure missing to use a traditional filling. This situation can occur if the tooth is compromised from dental decay, or If a tooth has fractured or part of it has broken. In addition, we almost always place a crown on a tooth that has had root canal treatment, as these teeth need crowns to help support the tooth.
A dental bridge is a restoration we use in order to replace a missing tooth or missing teeth. With a dental bridge, we crown the tooth in front of the empty space and behind the empty space and use these teeth as anchors. Missing teeth can be restored with removable dentures, but it’s preferable to restore them with fixed (not removable) bridges, as fixed dental bridges don’t come in and out at night and are generally more comfortable than removable solutions.
If the teeth in front of and behind the teeth are healthy teeth with no restorations, a dental implant might be a better option, as dental implants don’t require drilling the adjacent teeth.
Crowns and bridges can be made from many types of materials, with porcelain-fused-to-metal being the standard. However, in cases where esthetics is critical, all-ceramic crowns provide a more cosmetic alternative.

I went in and was immediately put at ease. They were willing to stay late to make sure my exam was through and a tentative plan was put into place. When I returned the following day to see the hygienist, a definitive plan was put into place and the doctor and staff made sure I understood each step and what was needed.
I don't really like to go to the Dentist but the staff and the Dr are awesome!! Very kind, happy and professional!! The Dr is very gentle and communicative; as he tells you what he is going to do in detail and is a warm, caring person.
Folks, if you're looking for a new dental practice...look NO further! My 1st phone call to schedule a consultation was met with a kind and caring person who seemed genuinely concerned with the problems and pain I was experiencing. Though her schedule was full, she managed to fit me in to see the dentist.
